Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.650

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey street scene. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

For this week's cycle I've concentrated most of my efforts on the fencing, steps and plants in the vicinity. I've now added the vertical fence pickets and the steps to the rear. Note the shadows and lit portions of the fencing. I've also started the shadowed portions of the bushes. These will have much more in the way of refinement by next week.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here. (Currently under construction.)

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.649

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey street scene. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

For this week's cycle I've concentrated most of my efforts on the partial house to the right side. Note both the first and second story windows, front door and the gable end. All elements of this structure are now complete. Moving to the left, the porch of the central stucture has been further refined. Above, the former blue side window is now gray, consistent with all the others. Next week, the fencing.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.648

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey street scene. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

There art two areas of change for this week's cycle. The front porch of the central structure has been further refined. The posts and rails now stand in contrast to the shadows behind. Below, the foliage has been filled in and the steps and fencing defined. The fencing is far too white but that will be the subject of a future installment.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.647

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey street scene. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've have a fair amount of progress for this week's cycle. On the central house, I've continued to add to the siding and roof in yellow and gray respectively. Note the shadowed portions of the second story bay window. I've also painted in the shadowed inside area of the porch. To the right, I've added gray to the partial house. I love the contrast of the yellow and gray.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
