Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.554

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the painting of the 1940 Plymouth. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

There are several changes on the Plymouth for this week's cycle. Out in front, I've painted the bumper in blue and white as seen in the photo. I've made a similar change to the right side grille bars. I've also completed the headlights. To the side, I've done further work on the front tire and wheel. Behind, the running board and rear wheel were painted as a shadowed unit. I will likely change the front wheel a bit before this is all done.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.553

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the painting of the 1940 Plymouth. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've continued to refine the Plymouth. The car has now been repainted in a green closer to that seen in the photo. The shaded side has also been repainted. It now appears solid without the blotchy look seen last week. On the front of the car, the grille bars have been painted along with the hood ornament. The surrounding vehicles remain untouched.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.552

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the painting of the 1940 Plymouth. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

My efforts for this week's cycle are concentrated on the Plymouth. I've begun the car's interior with an initial layer of blue paint. I'm going to need to adjust the passenger side sill just a bit. I'll likely leave it all in blue. On the car's side I've begun to add the shadowed areas. I may keep things simple here as well. All the small reflections seem a bit too daunting. I'll have to see how things go between now and next week's installment.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.551

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the painting of the 1940 Plymouth. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've continued to refine the Plymouth. The body now appears in a blue green closer to the color seen in the photo. It's a nice vintage color that we don't see anymore. On the front of the car I've added the grille bars. FInally, I've added some preliminary paint to the 2 other cars.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
