Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.563

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Victorian mansion. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

Starting at the top, I have painted part of the gable detail seen directly above the front door. (Above the section adjacent to the white wing. Moving down, the foundation has been straightened and shadows added. The shadows are consistent with the architecture above. Finally, on either side, the shrubs to the far rear have been completed. With these changes the painting is now completed.

The current and final state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have a new painting to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.562

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Victorian mansion. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

Starting in the foreground, I've begun the curved driveway. Just above, I've also added paint to the foundation. The foundation will eventually receive shadows that mirror the structure above. On the house itself I've begun to refine the various elements. Note that the existing windows have been reshaped and a few new ones have been added. (By the front door and to the far right.) The white portions of the house have all been refined a bit. Finally the roof has received more paint. The color of the roof, foundation and driveway are all very closely related.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.561

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Victorian mansion. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've continued to refine the mansion. I've added another layer of paint to each of the various elements. The brick now appears as a solid reddish/pinkish color. The brick in shadow is red. Shadows and windows are now a deep blue. The roof has received a layer of purpleish paint. Paint has also been added to the foundation and lawn.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.560

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Victorian mansion. I am using the photo seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

For this week's cycle I've attempted to add a preliminary layer of paint to each element. The main body of the house now appears in red, the right side in a cream color. Note the angled red on the lower left where shadow will occupy the remaining space. I've also added paint to the roof and foundation. The lawn has more green, green now also appearing on either side of the structure. Things are well under way.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
