Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.667

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Tudor-style Victorian in Goshen, NY. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below along with a photo that shows the house in less glaring light. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

In the sprint to the final version there have been a number of changes. At the top, the roof has been darkened a bit. On the ground level left, the tree to the far rear has been given some additional paint. It now has a more solid appearance. Finally, both the sky and road have been revised. The painting is now finished.

The current and final state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have a new painting to show you next week. See you then.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here. (Currently under reconstruction.)

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.666

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Tudor-style Victorian in Goshen, NY. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below along with a photo that shows the house in less glaring light. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I have done some work on a few different areas on the canvas. First, the path has been repainted as well as the hedge. I've attempted to have an appropriate shadow to the hedge. Next, I've refined the roof dormer. Finally, I've refined the roof and shadows above the first floor and porch.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.665

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Tudor-style Victorian in Goshen, NY. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below along with a photo that shows the house in less glaring light. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

There are a number of changes for this week's cycle. Most apparent amongst these is the faux half-timbering in the front-facing gable and dormer. It is what gives this house much of its character. Note the window details, siding and overpainted chimneys. Finally, the roof has been repainted.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.664

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Tudor-style Victorian in Goshen, NY. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below along with a photo that shows the house in less glaring light. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

There are a number of changes for this week's cycle. I've now added to the body color of the house in two different colors. The brown sides and lower portions have been revised as well as the yellowish upper areas. Out in front I have added some green to the lawn and hedge. In the distance to the right side I've begun a tree.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
