Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.343
This week I'll be continuing with the Sedona, Arizona roadway scene. The photo that I am using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 10x10 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I've had some time this past week and did get a fair amount accomplished. It seems that I'm again working from the top down. I've started with the sky which now has a lighter appearance. I will likely go over it again before this is done. The current appearance is a bit too light I think. After that I moved on to the central butte, which now has highlights and shadows. It also has the green areas seen in the original photo. Finally, the buttes to the rear have also received highlights and shadows consistent with their distance.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
That's about it for now. Next week I'll have more progress to show you. See you then. As always, feel free to add photos of your own work in the comments section below.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.

Thanks Larry! There will be a big change next week, also moving top down. ;-)
