Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.521

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the large gabled Victorian. The photo I am using is seen directly below. I will be using my usual acrylics on an 10 by 10 inch gallery-wrapped canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

At the outset, I now have things about where I want them. Most of the elements are ready for the final few layers of paint. Starting at the bottom, I cut back the base of the porch so that it conforms with the perspective of the structure. Above, the porch columns and rails are in place and ready for some definition. The bay window is as well, Note that the pencil lines seen in the siding to the far right have been eleminated. I still need to add a layer or two to the roof to eliminate its lines. That siding color will be dialed back. Next week I'll have a dramatic change.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
