Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.345

Hello again painting fans.

This week I'll be continuing with the Sedona, Arizona roadway scene. The photo that I am using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 10x10 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I have concentrated my efforts on the middle right side of the painting. The fencing to the far right has been heavily revised. It now has uprights and rails in place. I still need to add a few shadows. Just above, the Burger King building now has most of its details. I still need to add a few things including the prominent sign. To the right, the other commercial buildings have now received their first layer of paint. There is still much to do.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

That's about it for now. Next week I'll have more progress to show you. See you then. As always, feel free to add photos of your own work in the comments section below.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.

It doesn't look like a river anymore… looks like you've made a lot of progress on the part where you focused. I think this is going to be one of your best to date.

Thank Larry! A river in the desert would definitely be a problem of consistency. ;-)
