Saturday Painting Palooza Volume 283

Hello again painting fans.

This week I'll be continuing with the painting of the Cold Spring, New York structure. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x8 inch gallery-wrapped (thick) canvas.

I'm using the photo seen directly below.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've extended the building and adjusted the perspective a bit. Looking again, I think that the perspective could use a bit more adjustment. The original photo just has a bit more drama.

I've also added some base color. I will be building layers of color to achieve some depth. Note that the arched windows have been placed but will need some adjustment when I change the perspective. There is much to do. Finally, note the cars in the foreground.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

That's about it for now. Next week I'll have more progress to show you. See you then. As always, feel free to add photos of your own work in the comments section below.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.

Hiya Boran,

Letting everyone know I've gotten a new old computer and it works much better as compared to the old old computer I was trying to use. I know - it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I also got a new email address since some places don't take anonymous comments - ahem. ;)

Hope you and the family have been doing well. George and I are fine.

Take care,

FM
