With the looming end of Haloscan and my failed attempt to migrate 5 years of comments, everything was lost. The posts remain of course, but the comments from my blog friends are all gone.
Sigh.

Oh that's horrible, B2. Why do they do things like that?? That's the reason I'm making books of my blogs, so I won't lose those words if the internet (or blogspot) goes kerfluey. But I WILL lose the comments, and that's so sad.
Big hugs for all of that wisdom and love lost.
Sheesh, I didn't know they were going kaput! I wonder if FM knows, or had a chance to grab his comments?
I may (temporarily) follow FM into the land of crippled hardware; my LCD is getting blurry along the edges and I have an appointment at the Apple Store this weekend to get it looked at. It's under (extended) warranty, so I don't expect to be much out of pocket, but I might have my net.wings clipped for a while.

Hi Far! I've gotten several e-mails in the last couple of days from Haloscan. The choice that they are offering is a paid comment service, Echo, or revision of your template to remove Haloscan.
I hope that you don't have to leave us for too long. But surely there is another computer at Far Manor.
