Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.227

Hello again painting fans.

This week I'll be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey painting.  The photo that I will be using is seen directly below.

I'll be using my usual acrylics on an unusual 6 by 6 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time, I've continued to work on the painting.

There are many changes this week. The house now sits on a proper foundation, painted with a derivative of the main body color. To the left side, the foundation has received highlights deliniating the piers below the sections of the porch. Above these, the left side of the house is now highlighted. The lefthand body color is now lighter and the white trim is, well, white. All the other trim (shadowed) is now seen in blue.

Behind the house, the surrounding structures loom in blue. I may have to adjust and fade this color a bit. Finally, the sky has received a layer of blue. Yet to receive attention are the roof and lawn areas.

The current state of the painting is seen directly below.

That's about it for now. Next week I'll have more progress to show you. See you then. As always, feel free to add photos of your own work in the comments section below.

Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.

This is post number 500 on this blog! Hooray!
