Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.348
This week I'll be a new painting, another Arizona roadway scene. The photo that I am using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8x10 inch canvas.
I enjoyed the prior Sedona roadway scene, so much so that I'm not yet ready to move on. I'm trying another similar one. While the last piece was done from my own photo, this one is stolen from someone's vacation photos. Note that while the roadway is simpler the mountain is perhaps more challenging. And I need to do this one fairly quick for the upcoming summer shows. It will be interesting.
I began by setting out the main elements in basic colors. Sky, mountain and foreground are all ready for their upcoming revisions.
