Saturday Painting Palooza Vol. 140
Welcome back.
This week we will be continuing with the new painting that I started last week, the Victorian house in Las Vegas, New
Mexico, seen in the photo directly below. As usual, I'll be using acrylics. This one is large for me, the canvas is 11x14.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
This week it's all about those heavy shadows on the building. I've added shadows to the left side of the building,
covering most of that side. The shadows are done in a blue that is close in color to the roof. I'll be doing some
differentiation in the coming weeks. Also receiving attention is the porch, now also heavily shadowed below the roof.
I've added ochre to the porch posts, now better defined and contrasting well.
