Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.658
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the Cape May, New Jersey mansion. The photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 8x10 inch canvas.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
There are a number of changes for this week's cycle. On the left side I have straightened out the perspective of the street/curb. It was angle up a bit too much previously. Note that I have completed the street and shadowed the portion that coincides with the shadowed portion of the main structure. Continuing above the left side curb, I have painted in the 2nd empire-style Victorian behind the main structure. On the right side I have painted in a partial house with which I completely unhappy. It will change for next time. Finally, I have begun to repaint the sky.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here. (Currently under reconstruction.)
